South United produced a commanding display to rout DYES 6-0 in their BDFA Super Division football league tie at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Monday.
United started the game brightly and scored three goals in each half to seal the game in their favour. Subhash opened the scoring for South United in the ninth minute before Santhosh added another eight minutes later.
In the 31st minute, Satish found the back of the net as United ended the first period on top. The second half was no different as United continued their dominance, with Subhash completing his brace with a strike in the 54th minute.
Relentless United then piled on the misery, with Senthil scoring back-to-back goals late in the game (78th and 83rd minutes).Earlier in the ‘A’ Division, Sri Gajanana rallied twice to eke out a 2-2 draw against Income Tax.
Shiva Kumar strike in the 21st minute for IT was cancelled out by Sridhar’s effort in the 47th minute. Shiva struck again in the 47th minute to put IT ahead but Gajanana again equalised through Bharath in the 79th minute.
