Founded 9 years ago, South United is Bangalore’s first privately owned professional Football Club. The Club has played in the I-League 2nd Division, the BDFA Super Division, the Gadhinglaj United Cup as well as the Puttaiah Memorial Cup. 30 Players from the team have been called to represent Karnataka in the Santosh Trophy, and several have gone on to play for I-League, ISL, and even International Teams.
Dedicated to providing a pathway for the youth, South United has also started its own Football Academy in the heart of Bangalore. Catering to students from the ages of 5 years onwards, this Bangalore Soccer Academy is well-experienced in training girls and boys in the sport. The SUFC Senior Team, too, has always comprised of young players, and now South United is looking to set up teams in the Under 13, Under 15, Under 16, Under 17, and Under 19 categories.
