Bengaluru, October 23, 2024: The second season of ‘Kick For A Cause With SUFC’ concluded on a high note, showcasing outstanding football talent and community spirit. The tournament, hosted by South United Football Club (SUFC) at their state-of-the-art facility in Ulsoor, Bengaluru, saw 22 teams competing from nine NGOs across three categories — Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17. A total of 260 players, 79 players in the Under-13 category, 101 players in the Under-15 category, and 80 players in the Under-17 category got the opportunity to showcase their skills in this edition. This year, Ball For All emerged as a dominant force, claiming victories in the Under-15 and Under-17 categories, while Simply Sport Foundation secured the Under-13 title.
The event celebrated fair play, teamwork, and individual excellence, with awards given across various categories. In the Under-13 category, Simply Sport Foundation took the Winners’ trophy, and Ball For All finished as Runners-Up. Enabling Leadership received the Fair Play award, and M. Tharun (Ball For All) and Hridhaan (Simply Sport Foundation) were recognized as Emerging Players.
In the Under-15 group, Ball For All claimed the title, with The Freedom Project finishing second. Shining Stars were awarded the Fair Play honour, and Hemanth A. (Ball For All) and Mathew Y. (The Freedom Project) were acknowledged as Emerging Players.
In the Under-17 category, Ball For All (Team B) triumphed, followed by The Freedom Project in the Runners-Up position. SoCare Ind was presented with the Fair Play award, and the Emerging Players were Prakash S. (Ball For All) and Rakesh S. (The Freedom Project).
All winners received trophies and PUMA India caps, while the Runners-Up were awarded PUMA India sipper bottles. Emerging Players were celebrated with certificates and PUMA India shoes, along with a one-year scholarship from South United Football Academy to train at their facility. All participants were presented with participation certificates, recognizing their contributions to the tournament.

The ‘Kick For A Cause With SUFC’ initiative, organised in association with South United Sports Foundation (SUSF), continues to be a part of SUFC’s ongoing commitment to driving social impact through football. The Foundation, set up in 2012, aims to empower young athletes by offering structured training programs focused on holistic development, enabling them to grow both as footballers and as individuals.
With strong support from various partners, Season 2 of ‘Kick For A Cause with SUFC’ was made even more impactful. Thanks to Kit Partner, PUMA’s generous giveaways for the winners, runners-up, and emerging players, Nutrition Partner, Grill N Chill’s delicious meals for the participants, and Medical Partner, Sparsh Hospital’s dedicated medical support throughout the tournament, the event was a resounding success. Through this tournament, SUFC has successfully reaffirmed their commitment to giving back to the community and empowering less fortunate youth by helping them harness their footballing potential.
